Museo de Las Americas (Museum of the Americas), located on the second floor of Cuartel de Ballaja in Old San Juan, is one of the most interesting,  family-friendly, and educational places to visit.  The museum features permanent exhibitions about the history and culture of Puerto Rico and the Americas.  Exhibitions include popular art in America, the history of the natives in America (22 ethnicities), the African heritage, the conquest and colonization of Puerto Rico, and the newborn evolution that makeup what Puerto Ricans are today.  Works by renowned artists from Latin America, the United States, and Puerto Rico are featured throughout the year.

  • Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday – 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • On holidays please go to their Facebook page for hours.
  • Cost:  General Entrance: $6.00 ⎮ Children up to 12 years and seniors 65+: $4.00
